WELCOME TO VIENNA -
Me in front of the Stephan's Dome -
the largest and most important church in Vienna.

Green Spaces are not a rarity in Vienna as it seems like one
is always right around the corner. This particular park is
located on the back side of the Wien Kunst Historische Museum.

The Naschmarkt - this is a great place to pick up local,
organic, ethnic, and pretty much any kind of food you
may want. It is also located in the middle of Vienna.

One example of the ample recycling and waste disposal
centers in Vienna. These are found in most apartment
buildings and many street corners.

The Vienna streetcar system. Vienna has extensive S-Bahn
services that cover most all the area that the U-Bahn and bus
do as well as other areas not included.
(Below)

An example of the subway system in Vienna. Vienna has a
total of five lines throughout the city - all are clean and well
kept causing them to be used by many living in the city.

Man Powered Taxis: There are so many Fußgängerzone
(pedestrian only zones) in Vienna that these are an effective
way of getting around the city quickly... and it is carbon neutral.
(Below)

Vienna's Rent-a-Bike system: There are small computer
stations at every drop site that will let you know
how many bikes are available at each station. So if
one is empty (such as above) you know another will have
bikes. Oh, and it is free up to one hour. Very nice.

Bike paths in Vienna. In addition to having a Rent-a-Bike
system, there are also many bike paths thoughout the City.

Öko Box - A option for recyceling used milk cartons.
One picks them up at any post office and drops them
off at designated drop points throughout the city.

Public Water Options In Wien (Above & Below) -
These are free to use and located throughout the
city of Vienna. They offer a refreshing drink when
ever one is needed. NICE!

So that's Vienna - A great place to live and a very green city.
